?Che, que sabes de la Argentina?

The red section in the map is the Provincia de Cordoba, basically the "state" and the city in it. And the Argentine flag--just because I love it... could possibly the reason I'm going :)
Well, Cordoba is the second largest city in Argentina, right behind Buenos Aires, the capital. It
has about 1.3 million people within it. Surrounding Cordoba are the Central Sierras, allowing for the temperate climate and low humidity in the city. Interestingly, Cordoba boasts a den
se population of college students from its seven major universities.
Additionally, the city is known for its five Jesuit missions, which Unesco has declared World Heritage sites. It is a lively city, mixing old with new; in fact, Cordoba was named the Cultural Capital of the Americas in 2006. Who wouldn't be excited to go? :)

It is currently summer in Cordoba where temperatures reach 80-90 degrees F. It is the rainy season until February, but the rainfall isn't very substantial. The time difference is +3 from CST until Daylight Savings, when it will be only +2.

I can't wait to get there to start experiencing a new culture and meeting new people. I've read that the Argentine people are very friendly, and I know that I will enjoy any culture with mate and gauchos :) It will be a great experience and I can't wait to get started!
